More than 2 unexcused absences automatically result in a grade of (I) incomplete. Within a few weeks of the end of the semester this grade will be changed to (F) unless an agreement is reached on how the work missed can be completed quickly. These points are earned by attending class, by participating in class, by asking and answering questions, and by helping your classmates when needed. Quizzes Class participation credits are also earned by taking weekly quizzes. Quiz grades are not important, taking the quizzes is important. Quiz questions will be designed to help students identify important skills and concepts. The most likely use of Quizzes will be question and answer sessions at the beginning of each class. Please come prepared to ask questions ... you will make your instructor very happy. E-mail & List Server Class participation credits are also earned by vigorous use of E-mail, which also includes the list server for this class named "emma." Sending mail to our list server, "emma," is as simple as sending any E-mail. emma's address is emma@ss.uno.edu. Mail sent to emma is automatically repeated to everyone on the emma list.
