  • How are you doing in building your personal To-Do-List? Please review the Objectives for this class. This list will form the foundation for constructing your the rubrics that will be used at the end of the semester to complete the self evaluation.

  • The World Wide Web is the first authoring environment that disconnects the content of a document from its display. The next logical step is to disconnect the information in a document from its behavior.

    1. Tell me something about Learning and Teaching in Cyberspace.
    2. Where does "on line education" happen?
    3. How important is collaboration? Considering technology in education, how do you feel -- is collaboration more or less useful, more or less important?
    4. Explain Student Centered. How is this different than classroom activities of just a few years ago?
    5. List some education technologies you know.
    6. Who can put Unbounded in context.
    7. Tell me -- what is the importance of Shared Knowledge?
    8. Authenticity, may very well be a major justification for professional education. Why? Is this a bigger, smaller, same-sized problem today?
    9. Tell me about Chapter 1, 2, 3, etc.
    10. What about fare use policies?
    11. What about access?
    12. Name a ubiquitous education technology.

    Turn in before 4:00 PM Sunday
    1. Everyone will read Chapter 4 of a book by Dr. Jason Ohler about the History of Technology.
    2. Also, I encourage you to do additional research about the History of Technology in Education. If you find multi-media resources on this topic, especially Web sites, please include their URLs in at the end of your written assignment.
    3. Confused about what to read? This is a link directly to Chapter 4.

    5. From your readings and research, list what you consider are the important topics.
    6. Who is Dr. Jason Ohler.
    7. Is he qualified to write a book like this one.
    8. Is it a book?
    9. In a one page document, summarize what you read, don't repeat the author. Tell us your openion what Dr. Ohler said in the "History of Technology."
