We all know that children under the age of 7 (in Piaget’s preoperational stage of development) are highly egocentric in nature. That is, they feel like the world exists for them and revolves around them. In light of this, as educators we have to wonder how this great tragedy has effected them in this past year. Specifically how do we approach the subject for the young child. :
