At 5:11 a.m. CDT on May 19, 2000, the Shuttle Atlantis launched from Cape Canaveral, my wife and I were there. This is what we witnessed. The video is about 5 minutes. The audio is overladed on the movie. It is from the The Four Seasons by Vivaldi. The vapor trail left by the solid rocket booster is illuminated by the rising sun ... and then the sun rises, including a sail boat passing under the rising sun. Everyone should have the opportunity we did. BTW, we stayed at a lovely vacation beach rental apartment -- Cawfords Cocoa Cabanas on Cocoa Beach.
