In these next weeks, we want to focus on evaluation as a tool for improvement. Experts constantly engage in self-evaluation. A purpose of this class is to help each of us, including your instructor, to become expert in the integration of technology in education. To this end, we need to evaluate students, instructors, instructional materials, instruction, and the preparation of instructional materials. It is hoped that this exercise will provide feedback as learning is occurring, as well as after learning has occurred.

1. Each of us will have up to 20 minutes to present their 2nd Lesson Plan project.
2. During each presentation, our classmates will closely observer -- the purpose of which is to assess and evaluate the Lesson Plan project.
3. We will focus on: objectives, student evaluation, and presentation.
   Objectives : Clearly stated? National, state, local benchmarks? Repeated in lesson materials? Will lesson meet these objective? Why? Why not?
   Student evaluation : How? Fair? Likely to reflective objectives? How would you evaluate this lesson?
   Use of Technology : How? Where? Who? Do you feel that the use of Technology was necessary based on the objectives of the lesson? How can we avoid the problem of the technology being a distraction.
   General comments!
4. Each of us will make notes of their observations to be shared with our class and with the presenter.
5. At the end of each presentation, each of us will each have a chance to discuss their observations.
6. Each of us should be prepared to comment, to be specific about: 1) what ideas we observed that can be internalized, and 2) how could the lesson presented be improved.

We should leave 15 minutes at the end of class to evaluated what happened during class.

Eventually, we will try another webquest ourselves.
