Responsibilities include:
(1) working with faculty and students to assist as needed to infuse technology into the college's teacher education programs.
(2) encourage the design of curricula, the development of courseware, and research in the use of multimedia technologies.
(3) support specialest for BlackBoard and for the development of in-class and on-line curriculum.
(4) College representative to Louisiana INTECH, a Professional Development Project of the Louisiana Center for Educational Technolog. INTECH provides teachers with many examples of effective technology-based strategies that support and enhance curriculum and can serve as a catalyst for fundamental change in overall teaching and learning processes.
(5) College representative to The Technology Consortium for Teacher Education (TCTE), a group of representatives appointed by deans from all nineteen Louisiana Universities who have worked collaboratively to survey the use of technology in teacher preparation programs, revise current criteria for certification in the area of educational technology, and develop NCATE and ISTE standards and performance-based assessment criteria and instruments.
(6) support specialest for PASS-PORT, a web-based electronic portfolio database system that provides College of Education candidates, university faculty and administrative staff a tool to gather, demonstrate and evaluate the performance data on pre-service teachers and professional teachers during the first three years of service after graduation.
(7) working with faculty and administrators to convert assessment documents to electronic NCATE exhibits.

These courses were designed and developed to meet the new State of Louisiana certifications programs in Educational Technology Facilitation and Educational Technology Leadership. These courses conform with the State Blue Ribbon Commission on Teacher Effectiveness with the goal of preparing system wide Òtechnology expertsÓ with skills and abilities needed to help educators infuse technology into teaching and learning.

University of New Orleans working to make technology an integral part of teacher
education and to better prepare pre-service teachers in using state-of-the-art
multimedia hardware and software. Responsibilities include:
(1) working with faculty and students to assist in integrating technology into teaching, learning, and assessment.
(2) management of the college's web server, mail server, database server, list server, discussion group server, and chat server.
(3) use grants and other resources to build and continually enhance the Faculty MultiMedia Development Lab (http://ed.uno.edu/MDLab/) as a resource for faculty and graduate assistants. This includes digital video editing and video on demand servers.
(4) use grants and other resources to build and continually enhance the Teacher Explorer Center (http://tec.uno.edu/), a technology classroom, development laboratory, and World Wide Web portal.
(5) WebMaster for the College of Education, including design, development, and maintenance of web sites for the College (http://ed.uno.edu/), its departments (http://ed.uno.edu/edPages/department.php), and the Teacher Explorer Center (a technology classroom and development laboratory at (http://tec.uno.edu/). Maintenance of these web sites is used as projects in my web design classes.

1995-1996
Graduate Assistant, Computer Science, University of New Orleans working with
Families for Learning (http://tec.uno.edu/TFFLindex.html), a Toyota grant. This is
a family literacy program which recognizes the link between undereducated adults
and educationally at-risk children. As such, it serves to address the needs of both
parents and children simultaneously. It aims to foster parental participation in the
educational activities by building on the strengths of the parents involved.
1988-1995
Instructor with the Community College, Tulane University. Courses taught were
short workshop-type, centered on computer literacy.
1989-1994
President, New Orleans Mac Users Group (NOMUG). NOMUG is a non-profit
community service and networking organization that provides computer support
services to businesses and individuals in the greater New Orleans area.
1967-1985
Vice President, Information Systems. Joined the staff of an insurance company to
establish computing support services. The company's primary business was life,
property and causality insurance.
