    In class this week:
    1. Two group presentations left!
    2. How to! We will go over and practice how to use CapsX'ing so that we can use this during the remainder of our work together. We will work on this for as long as it takes for everyone to be comfortible.
    3. We will decide on at least 2 other topics to discuss during our Virtual Class Meeting.
    4. Questions about digital video?
    5. What will be the scope and topic of your Individual Semester Project (10 points towards final grade).
    6. How will you "Documented delivery of one lesson from your Unit Lesson Plans." Make sure that you talk to me if you have any concerns about completing this requirement (10 points towards final grade).
    Every week
    1. Send me attendance eMail.
    2. Bring a floppy disk to class ... one that you use on your own computer at home, school, work ... from the computer you plan to use to do your class assignments.
    3. Before leaving class tonight, make sure you understand the assignment for next class.

    Assignment:
    1. Due by 4:30 PM, on the Sunday before our next class.
    2. Description of this assignment is in the Discussion Group titled "MultiMedia in Education"
    3. Don't forget to "Login" before posting messages or chatting.
    4. Other topics for discussion will be decided tonight.
    5. To Summarize this assignment
      1. Topic: Research in "MultiMedia Curricula"
      2. Find and read at least three (3) research articles around the topic of "MultiMedia in Education" -- positive and/or negative. If at all possible, use articles that are particularly meaningful to you personally as an educator.
      3. Summarize these articles, in a few paragraphs -- one summary for each article. Include in your summary the source (i.e. URL) of the article, the topic, the setting (i.e. K-3 reading), the findings if any, any specifics that pertain to multimedia, etc. Be concrete. In concluding, state if you agree or disagree with the author and why.
      4. Post each summary as an individual message in the Discussion Group titled "MultiMedia Curricula Research." Many on-line Articles, Journals, Lists of Journals, and other research information are found on our Links to Explore page. Complete this part by 4:30 Sunday (April 2).
      5. Post at least one reply to an article summary posted by someone else in our class. Complete this part before class time (April 5).
      6. Expected Result: This discussion will form the basis for our Chat during the Virtual Class Meeting.
      7. Unexpected Result: This assignment will count as your second Unit Plan. In two weeks (Wednesday, April 12) each group will be responsible for a brief (10 minute) presentation, the scope of which is a discussion of the process you experienced when planning and executing our virtual class meeting -- and preparing for this group presentation. We will talk about this part in class tonight.

      Keep in mind that this discussion is shared by both iceCaps and redCaps.
