  • At Memorial Baptist Christian School this week (Nov 8)

  • a few pictures from our visit.
  • We will visit Memorial Baptist Christan School. Follow this link for directions and a brief preview of what Julie will can show us ... and maybe what we can show Julie.
  • How to use television montiors with computers.
  • Cox Cable as an Internet Access provider in schools.
  • No teachers on campus uses the computer in class except to type tests.
  • Julie will show the third grade newsletter and the seventh grade published the first school newspaper ever as part of their computer class.
  • Type to Learn Jr. which is used with the young students for keyboarding drills.
  • Julie wants us to help her decide what to ask for and what order to ask for it?

  • Please review the Important Dates for this class -- we will all meet in our classroom only once more before our final exam. This schedule shows the importance of Information Networks in the Curricula, we will not succeed without using Information Networks!
  • In one week (Nov. 15) finally ... back at UNO ... what do you want to do?
  • In two weeks (Nov. 22) vClass III -- SnoCaps & The Seekers are responsible for planning.
  • In three weeks (Nov. 29) Final Exam presentations in class this night. This will leave our last class meeting for something real -- like a BBQ or whatever?



  • Book Review due Sunday, November 12, at 4:00PM, otherwise the assingment is as explained below.

    2nd Book Review, 10 points. Book reviews are the ONLY assessments (grades) given to you by the instructor. Post your book review to your Discussion Board before Sunday, November 12, at 4:00PM.

    Writing the book review

  • Length should not exceed 3 pages (500 words).
  • Please write and edit your review using your favorite word processor, then copy and paste it to your Discussion Board.
  • Note that it is possible to use links to appropriate web resources in your review.
  • Well written reviews are grammatical and avoid obvious spelling errors. Composition and clarity are necessary if others will benefit from your work.
  • Don't editorialize or inject personal opinions. This can happen during our in class discussions.
  • Write an essay, not an outline.
  • Point out the book's special characteristics (if any).
  • Show the relationship of the book to our work in class.
  • Prepare for class by reading the book reviews of your peers.
  • "REPLY" to others book reviews with constructive feedback.
  • Come to class prepared to discuss your book with our class.
